The Research Team – Update on 10 Year Ghost Orchid Research Program
Speaking are Larry Zettler, Adam Herdman and another intern. They are at Illinois College working on Orchid Conservation research that is partially funded by NOS. Adam has spoken with us before and has co-authored peer reviewed publications on his and Dr. Zettler’s work on Florida Orchid conservation (I believe the paper is on the chemistry of the nectar of an endangered Florida orchid). Adam went on to get an MS from Southern Illinois University – Edwardsville and is beginning work on a Ph.D from the University of Florida.
They will be updating us on their 10 year project and the findings of the incredible Ghost Orchid. The Naples Botanical Garden will be supplying a blooming Ghost Orchid for show. Larry Zettler will also be discussing his time at the Chelsea Flower Show in London.
